Hadhrat Ma’sumah Library and Research Center is established over an area of 1,284 square
meters and contains a five-story building. Three floors of this building are allocated for the
library. This central library started its activities in 1996. Initially it provided all its services in a
traditional and old-fashioned manner. In 1999, the process was computerized according to the
international standards of cataloguing and categorizing books. Today the
library is managed by
its own software named ‘Simurgh’. The library resources are organized
according to the system
adopted by the American Library of Congress (named LCC which stands for Library of
Congress
Classification) which is one of the popular methods of managing library
resources of specialized libraries
